The Practice

What is chakra healing, and who does it help?

Chakra healing is a meditative, energy-based practice that works with the body's seven energy centers to support a felt sense of balance and flow. Think of it as a traditional body map, not a medical diagnostic. You do not have to hold any particular belief for a session to have a real nervous-system effect. In a session with us, we use Reiki hand positions, the same practice the U.S. National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health describes as a way to support relaxation and wellbeing, guided breathwork, and sound frequencies, each traditionally associated with a specific energy center, to help you move through what feels stuck.

It tends to help people who feel disconnected from intuition, stuck in an old pattern, or off balance in a way they cannot name: persistent anxiety, creative block, low confidence, trouble giving or receiving care, or a flat sense of life. Chakra healing is a complementary practice. It works alongside medical and mental-health care, not instead of it, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. The Seven Centers

The seven chakras: what each one governs

A quick map of the energy centers we work with in every session, root to crown, and how each one tends to show up when it wants attention. These sessions draw on the same reiki energy healing practice, focused specifically on the chakra system.

Root: Muladhara

Base of the spine. Governs safety, stability, and belonging. Imbalance often shows up as anxiety, scarcity thinking, or chronic restlessness.

Sacral: Svadhisthana

Lower abdomen. Governs creativity, pleasure, and emotional flow. Imbalance often shows up as creative block or disconnection from desire.

Solar Plexus: Manipura

Upper abdomen. Governs personal power, self-trust, and decisiveness. Imbalance often shows up as people-pleasing or a tight, anxious gut.

Heart: Anahata

Center of the chest. Governs love, grief, and the capacity to connect. Imbalance often shows up as emotional armoring or unprocessed loss.

Throat: Vishuddha

Throat and jaw. Governs authentic expression and clear communication. Imbalance often shows up as holding back words or neck tension.

Third Eye: Ajna

Between the brows. Governs intuition and discernment. Imbalance often shows up as mental fog or distrust of your own knowing.

Crown: Sahasrara

Top of the head. Governs connection to meaning and spiritual awareness. Imbalance often shows up as spiritual stagnation or flatness.

How a chakra healing session unfolds

Intentional attunement

Each session opens with a read on where your energy feels dense or contracted. No guesswork, no psychic reading, just attunement grounded in the Usui Reiki lineage.

Hands-on and hands-off positions

Reiki is directed through hand positions that correspond to each chakra location, supporting the body's own capacity to restore flow. You stay fully clothed throughout.

Sound and breath as amplifiers

Curated sound frequencies and guided breathwork are layered in, each selected to support the specific energy centers we are working with that day.

Integration

We close with a brief somatic check-in so the shift has time to settle. Most clients describe leaving calmer, lighter, and more present.
