Reiki Master Training in Los Angeles

Master training is for the moment when practicing Reiki stops being enough, and something starts asking you to teach it.

One to one or small group · In-person master attunements · Payment plans available

Certified Reiki Master Teachers Usui lineage · married teaching team

Master training is for the moment when practicing Reiki stops being enough, and something starts asking you to teach it.

That moment usually arrives quietly. A friend asks you to show them what you do. You are explaining the hand positions and you realize you know them in your body, not off the page. And somewhere underneath it, a question: am I allowed to be the one who passes this on?

This training is where you find out.

We teach it together and we teach it in person, one to one or in a small group. One to one, it is just you and both of us, for one full weekend, with the option to add three months of mentorship afterward, for while you take on your first students.

What most master trainings leave out

A master certification can be handed over quickly. The symbol, an attunement, a certificate. You come away with the credential and still no idea how to run a room.

We do not think the gap is information. The symbols are in the manuals and plenty of them are online. The gap is everything a manual cannot give you. What to do when a student cries on the table. How to hold a room while you are nervous. How to answer “is any of this real” without getting defensive or overselling.

  • Time on the table in both seats, giving and receiving, until an attunement stops feeling like a performance

  • Practice teaching out loud, with two experienced teachers who will tell you the truth about how it went

  • The lineage. Where this came from, who carried it, what we owe them

  • What to do when a session goes somewhere you did not plan for

  • How to talk about this work with people who are skeptical of it

I didn’t know exactly what to expect going into the Level One Reiki training with Jaime and Yonatan, but it ended up being so much more powerful than I could’ve imagined. It opened me up to energies I’ve always felt but didn’t fully understand—and now I not only recognize how they affect me, but I also feel equipped to protect myself from them. Since the training, I feel significantly more grounded and emotionally regulated in my everyday life. The experience of learning from both Jaime and Yonatan is truly something special. They each bring their own unique wisdom and energy to the training—Jaime has this expansive, intuitive presence, while Yonatan’s style is more precise and laser-focused. That combination created such a well-rounded, integrated experience. Their contrast actually helped me find my own flow somewhere in the middle. The collaboration between them is beautiful, and I feel really lucky to have learned from such powerful and grounded teachers. If you’re even a little curious, I can’t recommend Word of Mouth enough.

Jaime and Yonaton's Reiki 1 training is a gift for anyone lucky enough to take the course. I had previously gone to Jaime for individual reiki sessions, so I had already seen first hand how healing and beautiful her work was. When I found out they were hosting a Reiki 1 training, I jumped at the chance. The space they facilitate is so calming and open, it provides the perfect quiet to be able to settle into yourself. At home, I can meditate for 20 minutes before my mind starts wandering. In their training, the time would fly and the next thing I know an hour would have passed. They have a wonderful teaching style that holds space for you and guides you gently. They teach you about the history of reiki and different access points. I learned so much and felt so, so much move for me. I'm very grateful to them for their time, their energy, and for their teachings. I would recommend anyone interested in Reiki to take their training.

I can’t say enough good things about Jaime and Yonatan and the love they pour into their work. I came into Reiki 1 simply curious and left feeling more connected to myself than I have in a long time. They created such a gentle, grounded environment, and the tools I learned continue to support me every day. I’ve always known myself to be sensitive, intuitive, and empathic, but learning how to truly listen to my own energy was unfamiliar and almost elusive, like trying to catch light in my hands. Understanding how to pinpoint, read, and tend to my own energy felt like learning to be my own meteorologist. When it’s cold outside, you feel it on your skin and instinctively reach for warmth. But with energy, I didn’t always know how to recognize what was moving through and around me, how to care for it, or how to protect myself. Sometimes it showed up as an internal draft, a quiet chill I couldn’t name or locate. I could feel its emotional and physical impact, but didn’t yet know how to pause before it shaped my mood or my day. Before Reiki One, Reiki felt like an invisible kind of magic exclusivity for healers. Experiencing it firsthand changed that. Energy stopped being an idea and became something I could feel, something with texture, direction, temperature and density. Through Jaime and Yonatan’s guidance, I learned how to hold it, direct it, soften it, and invite it to heal patterns and places inside me that I didn’t have language for before. The space they created was gentle, grounded, and deeply human. They made energy feel accessible, not mystical or out of reach, but like something I was simply re-defining. Since the course, I feel more at home in my sensitivity. Now, when the air shifts inside or outside, I trust myself to find warmth again.

Reiki 1 with Jamie and Yonatan was incredible. They held such a beautiful space that is calm, intentional and supportive. Getting to truly unplug and be fully present all weekend felt like such a gift. It was the perfect introduction to energy work that I had been looking for, and I left feeling super grounded and inspired. I couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait for Reiki 2!

Before you start

The weekend: the master symbols

You receive the master symbols and four attunements. We start with what it does, how energy moves differently at this level, and how to keep yourself clear while working at it.

The weekend: learning to teach

Then we turn to teaching, which is the part most trainings skip entirely. You will practice attunements on us, teach pieces of a Level 1 class out loud, and get honest feedback on both.

We cover the things nobody warns you about. What to do when a student has a big emotional release. How to set up a space. How to handle the person who is testing you. How to protect your own energy when you are the one holding the room.

You will leave able to give an attunement. Not smoothly yet. That comes with repetition, once you start teaching.

Optional: mentorship while you begin

Some people want company for that first stretch of teaching. We offer three months of mentorship as an add-on for exactly that.

Bring us your first class plan. Bring us the student who confused you. Bring us the question you are embarrassed to ask. This is the part that turns a certificate into a practice. Whether you want it is a conversation for your readiness call.

How we teach

  • Both of us, one of you. Jaime works intuitively and wide. Yonatan works precise and narrow. Students tell us the contrast is the useful part, because you get to find your own way of teaching somewhere between the two.

  • One to one, or a small group. In a private weekend, everything is built around you, which means nowhere to hide and nothing we miss while you learn to teach.

  • In person, in Los Angeles. 717 Highland Ave, Ste 6, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

  • Usui lineage, named out loud. We tell you where this came from and who carried it before us, so you can tell your own students the same thing.

The things people actually worry about

Worrying about the responsibility is usually a sign you understand it. The people who never worry are the ones we would gently slow down.
Sensitivity is the raw material, not the obstacle. What master training adds is structure around it, so you can be that open in a room and still walk out with your own energy intact.
You will give and receive attunements repeatedly across the weekend, with us watching. You will feel it from both sides, in your own body. That is how the doubt resolves.

Investment

One to one: $2,500. The weekend is just you and us, and we schedule it around your life.

Small group: $1,000. The weekend alongside a few other students.

It includes transmission of the master symbols, attunement training, and your Reiki Master manual.

Three months of mentorship, for while you take on your first students, is an optional add-on. We will talk through whether it is right for you on your readiness call.

Payment plans are available. Every path starts with a free readiness call.

If you have been thinking about it

You have probably been thinking about it for a while. That is normal, and it is usually a good sign.

The next step is small. A free thirty-minute call on Zoom, with no pitch at the end of it. We will talk about where your practice is, what is pulling you toward teaching, and whether this is the right season for it.

If it is not, we will tell you.

Good Questions

Frequently asked questions

Reiki Level 1 and Level 2, plus at least six months of regular practice. If you trained with a different teacher, we will talk through where you are on the readiness call to make sure the timing and the practice level fit.
One full weekend in person. If you want mentorship as you start teaching, three months of it is available as an add-on, and we will talk it through on your readiness call. How long it takes to feel ready to teach is a separate question, and it varies. Taking a while is not a failure. The optional mentorship exists for people who want company through that stretch.
Yes. You will receive direct transmission of the traditional symbols including the master symbols, and you will learn our attunement process. You will practice attunements several times across the weekend, with us watching and correcting.

Yes. Master training prepares you to teach, and that includes training other Reiki masters in time. Students typically feel intuitively when they are ready to teach other teachers.
If you have been practicing steadily, people have started asking you about it, and the idea of teaching both pulls at you and scares you a little, you are probably close. The readiness call is thirty free minutes to find out properly.
Yes. You are certified to teach Reiki Level 1 and Level 2 the day you finish. Whether you feel ready that fast is a different question, and it varies a lot. You are qualified to teach on day one. Feeling ready can take longer, and if you want support through that stretch, the optional three-month mentorship is built for it. Being qualified and feeling ready are two different things, and we would rather be clear about both.
We open each session by naming Mikao Usui and the teachers who carried this before us. The training also covers the lineage history and the traditional practices, and how to carry them honestly while still teaching in your own voice.
Our WhatsApp community, always. Beyond that, three months of mentorship for while you take on your first students is available as an add-on, private mentorship past that if you want to keep going, and we take on apprentices case by case. What you want is a conversation for your readiness call.
Confidence comes from repetition more than from certification. If you know you will want company for that first stretch of teaching, the optional three-month mentorship is built for exactly it. Private mentorship and apprenticeship are there beyond that, case by case.
Yes. Deeper chakra work, higher-frequency energy, protection practices for people who hold space professionally, and how to clear the residue of a heavy session so you do not carry it home with you.
