Reiki Level 1 is where you learn to work with energy with your own two hands, starting with yourself.

Over two days, in person, you receive your attunements, learn the hand positions, and practice until channeling Reiki stops feeling like a question and starts feeling like something you can do. You leave certified, with a daily practice you actually understand.

We teach it as a couple, in a small group, at our studio in Los Angeles. In person, hands-on, together for the whole weekend.

Who Level 1 is for

You do not need to be spiritual, sensitive, or sure of any of this to start. Some of the students this has changed the most arrived skeptical and worn out. Others came already deep in a practice. Our groups tend to hold that whole range, and the mix is part of what makes the weekend rich.

Level 1 tends to land for people who are:

Wired but exhausted, and looking for something that works on the body, not just the mind
Drawn to energy work but put off by how woo a lot of it sounds
In a helping role already (nursing, therapy, teaching, parenting) and running low
Curious whether they can actually feel this, and wanting to find out in person rather than from a video

I didn’t know exactly what to expect going into the Level One Reiki training with Jaime and Yonatan, but it ended up being so much more powerful than I could’ve imagined. It opened me up to energies I’ve always felt but didn’t fully understand—and now I not only recognize how they affect me, but I also feel equipped to protect myself from them. Since the training, I feel significantly more grounded and emotionally regulated in my everyday life. The experience of learning from both Jaime and Yonatan is truly something special. They each bring their own unique wisdom and energy to the training—Jaime has this expansive, intuitive presence, while Yonatan’s style is more precise and laser-focused. That combination created such a well-rounded, integrated experience. Their contrast actually helped me find my own flow somewhere in the middle. I started working with Jaime in January of 2024 and her impact on my life since then has been truly profound. We started with Pilates as I was trying to improve my physical conditioning. From the start, she quickly grasped my physical state and developed a program which accommodated my poor fitness. She quickly helped me move better and increase my strength. As I improved, Jaime introduced new movements to help me progress physically. Not only did Jaime help me advance, but she also helped me overcome physical maladies, including adding movements which addressed the pain I was experiencing due to sciatica. I rely upon Jaime as much or even more than my physician. As our relationship developed, I told Jaime I wanted improve my recovery from substance abuse and have tools which I can use in my own recovery and the recovery of others. She suggested I explore Reiki to understand and manage my personal energy and the energy around me. Despite my ignorance of the practice, I jumped in and did Reiki Level 1 training in March of 2024. The sessions were exceedingly enlightening and I learned a great deal. I did Reiki Level 2 training in August of 2024 and my education and spiritual growth has been remarkable. In both trainings, Jaime tailored the sessions to accommodate by background, especially my substance abuse, and ensure I received education which was optimally beneficial. Reiki is now an important aspect of my spiritual practice. A big part of my recovery is spiritual growth. I attempted increase my spirituality using the religious practices I learned as a youth. After a few months of trying on my own, I realized that the religious Higher Power I was using was not the Higher Power I wanted. I mentioned this to Jaime during one of our Pilates sessions and she offered she could be of assistance in defining, understanding and communicating with the Higher Power I sought. Based upon the great success I previously had working with Jaime, I started using her to assist me in grasping the nature of my Higher Power, how to listen to my Higher Power and how to harness the energy from my Higher Power. I am exceedingly happy with the progress I have made to date and plan to continue working with Jaime for the foreseeable future. If a person is looking to improve their life physically, emotionally and/or spiritually, I cannot think of a better resource than Jaime. Her basis of her work is to understand where I am and where I want to go and then guide me as I work to achieve my goals. Her knowledge, understanding and patience is tremendous and I am sincerely grateful I have been able to work with her.

How the two days work

Day one: your first attunements and self-treatment

You receive your first Reiki attunements and, for most people, feel energy between your hands within the first hour. Most are surprised it is that tangible. You learn the hand positions for treating yourself, and you practice, on yourself, with us there to guide you.

Day two: certification and daily practice

You receive your remaining attunement, which is the piece that stays with you. We cover a daily practice you can actually keep, how to clear your own energy, and what to do when you feel off. You leave certified in Reiki Level 1, with your manual and every hand position written down.

After: using it in real life

This is the part that makes it stick. A five-minute reset between meetings. Self-Reiki before bed for better sleep. A way to come back to center in the middle of an ordinary hard day. You also get our student community, so you are not practicing alone.

What makes this one different

In person, in our studio. We teach this face to face because the experience is the point: hands-on practice, a group in the room, and a weekend stepped out of your usual rhythm. We both trained virtually ourselves and have real respect for how energy moves regardless of distance. This is simply the in-person version, for people who want it.
Both of us teach. Jaime works intuitively and wide, Yonatan precise and narrow. You get two ways in and can find your own somewhere between them.
Small group. Small enough that we actually watch you practice and correct you, rather than lecturing at a room.
Deep work, in plain language. This is real healing, and it goes as deep as you are ready for. We just teach it without the jargon, so you leave with something you understand and can use, on the 405, before a hard meeting, in the middle of an ordinary day.

Straight Answers

The things people actually worry about

Good. A lot of our students are engineers, nurses, and therapists who came in doubtful. You do not have to believe anything for the attunement to happen. You feel what you feel, and most people are surprised by how physical it is.

Everyone feels it differently. Some get heat or tingling, some get a quiet drop into calm. Both are real. In the training you both give and receive, so you feel it from both sides in your own body.

Reiki is the opposite of another thing to keep up with. It is five minutes, it is portable, and once you have it you have it for life. Most people use it to get time back, not spend it.

Why people come to Level 1

Something you keep for life

Once you have Level 1, you have it. There is no expiry and no re-certifying. The attunements are permanent, and the practice is yours to use whenever you need it.

Small on purpose

We keep the group small so everyone gets real attention and hands-on time. It is a training, not a lecture.

A tool for the hard days

Most people come out with a five-minute reset they reach for in traffic, before a hard conversation, or at 2am. Small, portable, and always with you.

$550 for the full Level 1 certification. That includes two days of in-person training (12 hours), all four attunements and plenty of hands-on practice, your Reiki Level 1 manual, and lifetime access to our student community.

None, of any kind. People come in at every level of experience and every point on their spiritual path, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. We find those mixed groups make for the richest discussion and practice.

Both are real, and we say that as two people who did our own training virtually. Energy moves regardless of distance, and online attunements work. What in-person adds is the experience of it: hands-on practice, the richness of learning alongside a group, and a weekend out of your usual rhythm in a space set aside for this. If that is how you like to learn, this is that.

Level 1 is about treating yourself. That is the foundation, and the most important healing you will do. People close to you often feel the difference in your presence anyway. Working on others formally is what Level 2 adds.

Level 2, when you are ready, teaches you to work on others, use the Reiki symbols, and send healing at a distance. Some students go on to Master training and teach. Each level is its own decision.
