Reiki Training and Certification in Los Angeles

Learn to work with what you feel.

Some people come to Reiki training because they’ve always been curious about energy. Some have received Reiki and want to understand what happened. Others already have a practice and are starting to feel called to share it.

Wherever you’re coming from, we think learning Reiki deserves time and attention. Our trainings are small and hands-on, with lots of room for questions.

Begin with yourself

One of the most important things Reiki teaches is how to come back to your own practice. How to pay attention, how to make room for yourself, and how to care for your own energy before taking on the responsibility of supporting someone else.

That’s why we teach Level 1 and Level 2 separately, with real time between them to practice and let it settle. We want Reiki to become part of your life before you’re asked to share it.

A weekend shaped by the people in the room

We arrive with a full curriculum and a lot of care for how the weekend unfolds. And we want your questions. Some of the best conversations in any training start with something a student noticed or wondered about.

You’ll learn the traditional Usui foundations and techniques, practice them with guidance, and receive your attunement. Most of all, you’ll have space to find how Reiki fits into your own life, so you leave ready to keep practicing on your own.

Each level is a two-day weekend immersion at our Los Angeles studio, starting at 11am on Saturday and Sunday.

Jaime and Yonatan, what a vision they bring to the world. I was honored to sit with them during Reiki level 1 training. The weekend was hosted in such a beautiful space. The way the two of them approach reiki, allowing everyone to have their own experience is truly where they bring their magic. I came away from the weekend wanting to further understand the language we can build within ourselves in relation to the reiki energy. Three ways to grow with Reiki

Reiki Level 1: Begin with yourself

Your introduction to Reiki, and the start of your own self-practice. You’ll learn the foundations, receive your first attunement, practice the traditional hand positions for treating yourself, and begin finding how Reiki can become part of your everyday life. You receive your Level 1 certification at the end of the weekend. For curious beginners, and for anyone who wants a more intentional personal practice.

Two days, 11am to 5pm. $550.

Reiki Level 2: Learn to share your practice

For Level 1 graduates who’ve spent time practicing on themselves and feel ready to offer Reiki to others. Level 2 goes deeper, with five Reiki symbols (three Usui, two Karuna), your Level 2 attunement, distance Reiki, guided practice with a partner, and honest conversation about the responsibility of working with other people. Certification comes when you’re ready. After the weekend, you keep practicing and test out with us on your own timing.

Two days, 11am to 6pm. $750. Private Level 2 training is available on request.

Reiki Master: Learn to teach

For experienced practitioners who feel called to teach. Master training focuses on guiding students, giving attunements, growing your confidence as a teacher, and carrying the tradition forward with care. Before Master training, you’ll have completed Levels 1 and 2 and practiced for at least six months. It begins with a free 30-minute conversation, so neither of us has to guess about timing. Tuition is $2,500 one to one, or $1,000 in a small group.

Jaime’s background in movement, leadership, and energy work shapes her intuitive, attentive way of teaching. Yonatan brings years of music, art, and movement, and a very precise eye.

The music is part of it

Yonatan has been making music most of his life. Much of what you’ll hear during our trainings he wrote and produced himself, with a lot of thought for the atmosphere it creates for rest, movement, and reflection.

Learning continues after the weekend

We encourage students to take their time. Some practice on their own for months before moving on. Others come back with new questions, or step into the next level when it feels right.

To help you keep going, we hold a live Reiki Self-Practice Hour on Zoom on Thursday evenings, open to anyone attuned at Level 1 or above. Jaime opens with a short meditation, everyone practices in their own way, and we close with a few minutes to share. It’s $20 a week, or $100 for a six-week series.

Our Reiki-infused meditations are another way to keep practicing at home.

Practical information

  • Dates: current dates are in the scheduler for each level.
  • Prerequisites: none for Level 1. Level 1 and practice time for Level 2. Levels 1 and 2 plus six months of practice for Master.
  • Included: the manual and the music.
  • Certification: Level 1 at the end of the weekend. Level 2 when you’re ready.
  • Location: all certification trainings currently take place in person at our Los Angeles studio.

Reiki certification questions, answered

There is no single federal accreditation body for reiki certification in the US. Our certificates document successful completion of each level's requirements and are issued by Certified Reiki Master Teachers in the Usui lineage. Graduates can optionally affiliate with professional organizations like the IARP or ICRT after certification. If you plan to offer paid sessions, check your local licensing requirements.
No. Reiki is not tied to any religion or belief system. The Usui tradition has its own principles, but it is practiced by people of many faiths and by secular practitioners.
